One Day for the K.I.A.
March 25 @ 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
Put your running/walking shoes on and join the Army, Navy, and Air Force ROTC and Stadium Scholarship Alumni Societies for One Day for the K.I.A. Taking place on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., this is a 12-hour endurance run/walk. Don’t worry, you don’t have to last the entire 12 hours — you can join as a team and split up the time! Runners and walkers have exactly 12 hours to cover as many miles as they can around the Oval at Ohio State. They are allowed to sleep, eat, leave and come back or even flat-out stop running whenever they want to — whatever is needed to get the furthest mileage possible. Due to the rules and structure of this type of run, it simply tests one thing: How far can you push yourself? There is no minimum distance to cover. Don’t live in the Columbus area? You can also participate virtually or simply support the cause with a donation!
One Day for the K.I.A. benefits the Living Legacy Scholarship, an endowment given yearly to an undergraduate or graduate student at The Ohio State University who has had a relative negatively affected by their military service.
Are you up to the challenge? Go to www.1dayforthekia.org for more information and to register or sponsor a runner/walker. Questions? Contact:
